Kirill Muniabin is a lens-based visual artist. Born in 1978 in Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod). Lives and works in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
In his projects, Kirill works at the intersection of post-documentary approaches and performative practice. His work is based on real biographies and memories, the insecurity and loneliness that exist within the everyday life. Author combines observation with staging, documentary material and reconstruction. He creates visual narratives where facts and inner experiences come together to form a single whole. Kirill’s work aims for recognition and silence, a state in which personal history becomes a shared experience.
